"Comfort No Matter The Season"

  Life is ever changing like the seasons we experience in a calendar year. Eventually winter turns to spring and then to summer and so forth. Sometimes in life we experience a season where things are going great at home with our family but work is a challenge. There are seasons we face in life that bring much sadness and heartbreak. There are seasons in life that are busy and stressful. And, there are seasons in life that bring fear and uncertainty. I’m sure we can all relate to the different seasons of life that can impact us for years.

            Our relationship with God can be and often is affected by our current season in life. When we are experiencing victories at home, work, and with our kids, it’s easy to feel blessed by God and close to Him. But what about the times when life is hard and there are seemingly no answers to the hardships we face? Does your relationship with God grow stronger in difficult seasons? Do you tend to forget about God when life is good and everyone is healthy? Life is about living through one season after another. Some are great, some are terrible, but our constant stabilizing stronghold and foundation must be the Lord.

Isaiah 41:10 says, “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse tells us there is no need to fear because God is with us. We are God’s people and He is our God. God will strengthen and help us. This verse should encourage us because it describes a God who cares for us and acts on our behalf no matter the season of life we are in.
