"Light For The Path"

Little Prairie Bible Camp is a place I think of with only the best memories. Each summer I would direct one week of camp full of energized kids and a lot of Bible teaching. It was a great place in the country for kids to have plenty of room to play and have fun. That week at Little Prairie was also about growing the faith of each child. I remember how dark Little Prairie was at night. It was so dark we made sure each camper brought their own flashlight. I can remember how difficult it was to get around the camp at night without a light.
My need for a light in the darkness of that camp at night reminds me of how much we need the light of God’s Word in this dark world. Our world is full of the darkness of sin today. Sin can easily influence us to take the wrong path if it is not exposed by the light of God’s Word. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105) God’s Word is the light we so desperately need to navigate the path through the darkness of this world. View the Bible for what it is, a light for your daily path. Read God’s Word so that you can stay within His light and avoid the pitfalls of sin's darkness.
